#GEOMARExpedition | 🌍 🎓 13 students from 12 West African countries traveled on the research vessel Polarstern from Mindelo, Cape Verde to Bremerhaven, Germany. During the cruise, the students collected valuable data for international marine research and also for their own Master's theses. 👋 They arrived back in Germany at the weekend. 🚢 “Floating University” is the name of the project, which is taking place for the third time under the leadership of GEOMAR and, as part of the UN Ocean Decade, contributes to promoting the sustainable use and exploration of the ocean. 🌊 The “Floating University” is funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (Bundesministerium für Bildung und Forschung) as part of the #WASCAL program (West African Science Service Centre on Climate Change and Adapted Land Use). 🎥 The Students Khevine Djogli and Ayodele Gbla talk about their experiences on board the Polarstern.
